As in the past, the Unit was heavily loaded with the training of post-graduate candidates in the DAP&E course. A total of 8 students elected to conduct their research projects for their thesis in the Unit. All senior staff of the Unit conducted many lecture and practical sessions in the D.A.P. & E. Course. The thesis were as follows:

  3. Steven Ong Soo Peng , BSc. Kolej Tuanku Abdul Rahman. Title: Detection of dengue virus infection towards the susceptibility of BHK-21 Cells using RT-PCR.
  4. Pugalanthiran Teruvengadam. BSc. Kolej Tuanku Abdul Rahman. Title: Detection of chikungunya virus infection towards BHK-21 cells lines by the means of RT- PCR.
  5. Tiun Siew Mond. BSc, Universiti Kolej Teknologi Terengganu. Title: Comparison of the sensitivity of BHK-21 cells for dengue virus infectivity titration using CO2 incubator and Non CO2 incubator
