The Unit is committed to apply findings from basic research to developing new therapeutic approaches and diagnostic tools. This nonetheless will increase the understanding on the pathophysiology of the rare diseases and age-related diseases for better approach in disease management. In addition, the Unit has established collaborations with other institutions in relevant research fields.
