Research activities in CaRC focus on different areas such as discovery research for blood disorders and cancer, screening and early detection of blood disorders and cancer, stem cell research, management of solid tumours, discovery research for solid tumours, screening and early detection of non- solid tumours, and management of blood disorders and cancer.
CaRC also actively involves in establishing Genome reference for Malaysia. The MyGENOM project is collaborative research between MOSTI and MOH that aims to establish a local reference genome reflecting the diverse and unique Malaysian population.
