Overview of Nutrition Unit
Our experienced researchers are committed to addressing critical national health issues through a multidisciplinary approach. We conduct extensive research in areas such as nutritional biochemistry, nutrigenomics, and analytical food chemistry. These efforts are geared towards understanding how nutrients affect human health at the molecular level and identifying dietary strategies to prevent and manage nutrition-related chronic diseases. We provide expert consultative services to government agencies, including the Ministry of Health Malaysia, on matters related to food additives, nutritional guidelines, and regulatory standards.
