Biochemistry Unit

Biochemistry Unit
The Biochemistry Unit serves as a reference center for specialised diagnostic services, providing comprehensive biochemical genetic testing to detect Inborn Errors of Metabolism (IEM), conducting biomedical research in IEM, and developing testing methods to identify incidence and diagnostic indicators. It also offers various training programs in biochemical genetics for researchers, trainees, and students from local and international institutions, and provides consultancy services in biochemical genetics to government and private hospitals, higher education institutions, and other organisations.
